Biography: (taken from the 2002 Liverpool Beatleweek Programme)
Yes The Beatles music really did reach 'Across The Universe'. Breaking the record set last year by The Beatals for furthest distance travelled to appear at Beatleweek, The Zeatles are covering 11582 miles to be in Liverpool. In fact, these Kiwi lads are so determined to perform at the festival that they are actually rowing over themselves - they left New Zealand in March so they should be here in time for the festival!
The band was formed in July 1999 and since then they have become the biggest thing in New Zealand, with regular sold out theatre tours and their own TV show. They also take the title of the first Beatles tribute show to play in the 21st Century, as they rang in the new Millennium as part of the celebrations in Wellington!
The full Zeatles show runs to four hours and features all the sights and sounds from Hamburg to Rooftop! Playing 8 gigs over the weekend, you have no excuse not to catch this band at least once! They are eagerly anticipating Saturday's performance at the Cavern Club, and will no doubt get the convention rocking on Sunday with their fringe festival spot. Their authenticity, professionalism and sense of fun is sure to give the homegrown acts a run for their money. All this and the haka before every performance!
