Biography: (from the Beatleweek 2005 Programme)
Please welcome Johnny's new band The Lost Weekend; a 6-piece consisting of top-notch musicians from England, which was formed last year. The band now consist of Johnny Silver (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Mike Wilbury (vocals, lead guitar, keyboards, bass), Rick Benbow (vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass), Ian Watts (vocals, bass, guitar, keyboards), Steve Heappey (vocals, drums, percussion) and Steve Farmer (vocals drums, percussion).
Rumours are that Johnny's previous band were wiped out by that nasty Liverpool virus every musician got last year. Just kidding! Johnny also performed some of the last year's BW gig with fever and a bad cold… "I sounded just like a bloody walrus", says Johnny.
The new band created a stir when they began their Come Together tour across English theatres and venues and were building up an instant reputation with their tight and 'they-can-play-everything' line-up. After Beatle Week they will continue touring the UK; check their website lennonshow.com for further dates and details. This will be Johnny's 8th visit to Beatle Week; he's glad to say hi again to all friends and lovers he still can recall, and he is very enthusiastic: "this band is a must-see"; rockin' Lennon at his best plus some of the usual mad surprises Johnny is known for…
What could possibly follow flying guitars, spattering paint, searing feedback and Japanese costumes? We'll see… at the very least it will be the best band he ever had!
