Last year witness the debut of Instant Karma. The band came over from the Chicago area with the promise to deliver something very, very special. They were not kidding. Instant Karma were one of the biggest success stories of 2005. Extremely talented guys and equally great people, the band brought their unique Lennon tribute to the shores of the Mersey and the great man himself would have been suitably impressed. All of John's hits and some of the more obscure songs like Isolation, Out of the Blue, Mind Games and No. 9 Dream etc. all performed with the love, affection and respect they thoroughly deserve. Instant Karma are simply one of the finest Lennon tribute bands to grace Beatle Week. The band led by Jay Goeppner have a very illustrious background. Jay himself is the driving force behind the group, he sings Lennon's songs and Lennon would have done himself. In of the 25 years of singing Jay's stage presence quite clearly demonstrates his passion for his mentor. This year the band intend to play a different set at every gig they perform, Imagine one gig, Double Fantasy the next and so on. So that should be very interesting indeed, so make sure you check out as many Instant Karma shows as you can. Details of all their gigs are in this years programme. Helping Jay out in the band are Mark Eskin (guitar), Bob Blider (guitar), Jim Dunn (drums), Alex Eskin (bass and Bob Dobro (keyboards). All in all a superb band and we are delighted they will once again be part of Beatle Week.
