Biography: (from the Beatleweek 1998 Programme)
Love that name! The trouble with the Liverpool Convention generally, is that you don't know if you've just has a 'hard day's night' or a 'hard night's day in the first place. So, by inviting this band from Dallas, Texas, it is only going to complicate things further. Nevertheless it looks and sounds as if it is going to be worth it.
They say everything is bigger in Texas and the don't get any bigger than 'Hard Night's Day' in Dallas as they have been voted the best cover band in the area by the Dallas Observer; for two years running.
Formed in 1994 the band have gone from strength to strength giving audiences the chance to see Beatle music played the way it should be... live!
The are often called the 'Dallas Fab Five' as very early on it was deiced that five members were needed to cover the widely diverse Beatle repertoire. Because of the bands' unanimous love and respect for the music itself, along with their vintage and re-issue instruments, "You can close your eyes and and swear it was the record" (their words not mine).
For the Convention album year we couldn't help it, we just had to do it, yes you've guessed it, 'Hard Night;s Day' will perform 'A Hard Day's Night'. We might even change the name of our planned hotel!"
