Abbey Road last played convention back in 1997, which was their third consecutive appearance in Liverpool. Long-term Beatleweek attendees may recall that in 1995 they were joined onstage at the Adelphi by former-Wings drummer Steve Holly! The band have been together for twelve years and have achieved success in Spain, making many national television appearances. Manolo Mateo (Paul), Ferran Corbalan (George), Manel Solsona (John) and Carlos Moreno (Ringo) are very pleased to be returning to Liverpool and to be playing at the Cavern Club once again. In fact playing there, and meeting John's Uncle; Charlie Lennon are just two of the many highlights from their previous Liverpool visits. One of the bands most treasured memories, however, is when they realised every fans dream and met Paul McCartney in Barcelona!
Finally, they must take the award for having played in the most unusual location for a Beatle tribute band - they once performed in the Tunisian Desert - which of course, as all movie buffs will know, was one of the many locations used in the Star Wars films! Feel the force of Abbey Road at the Cavern Club throughout the week!
