Direct from Las Vegas to the George Daily Auditorium - it's The Fab Four, the Beatles tribute band. They're appearing one night only on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 pm.
The group is currently performing at the Las Vegas Hilton, and fans from all across the world are reliving Beatlemania during the 90-minute show that takes you from the stage of the Ed Sullivan Show to the keyboards of John's ivory piano for "Imagine" to Paul's rousing sing-along of "Hey Jude."
All the remnants of 1964's Beatles are there on the stage, including a delightfully stiff "Ed Sullivan" introducing the boys just the way the real Sullivan did on Feb. 9, some 39 years ago.
The Fab Four launches into "I Want to Hold Your Hand," and for the next hour and a half, fans are treated to a blast down Penny (memory) Lane.
Artie, Ron, Michael and Rolo, as The Fab Four, are more than convincing to the several hundred fans who filled the showroom that Elvis once played.
The Fab Four played the Beatles hits in chronological order but also teased the crowd with licks of "What is Life," "It Don't Come Easy" and "Silly Love Songs." Truly this band can keep up with the Beatles after the breakup too.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $7 for students and are available at the Daily Auditorium Box Office from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, by calling (641) 672-0799 or at the Web site, www.georgedailyauditorium.com Tickets are also available at the Oskaloosa Chamber office and at the door while they last.
This show is co-sponsored by Clow.
