We welcome back for a third year one of the most talked about party bands of 2004 and 2005 so it's not surprising these lads are making another appearance. The bottom line is clear and simple; The Tearaways make great rock 'n' roll. This five-piece Santa Barbara, California-based band has laid claim to a unique and impressive style. The quality of The Tearaways' work, makes it clear to even the casual listener what it is about this band that has attracted the support and appreciation of such highly respected industry veterans as producers Tom Werman (Cheap Trick, Blue Öyster Cult) and Earle Mankey (The Beach Boys, Helen Reddy). With five records under their belt, The Tearaways' sound is contemporary, yet includes brilliant echoes of the work of those artists who have most influenced them. Just think of the best music of the past four decades, then see if you don't hear subtle flashes of that music threaded throughout The Tearaways work. The bands latest release "Beat Yer Own Mersey", has landed them a soundtrack for ESPN and an encore performance at the Playboy Mansion. Their songs have been featured on both the large and small screens as soundtracks for TV shows including NBC series "Meet My Folks" and movies likes "God, Sex and Apple Pie" and "I Think I Do". The band became known to us in Liverpool when they appeared at International Beatle Pop Overthrow festival at the Cavern in early 2004 and were simply a 'must have' band at Beatle Week. The line-up has been intact since the early Nineties. Greg Brallier, vocals and guitar; Fin Seth, vocals and bass; David Hekhouse, guitars; Jesse Benenati, drums; Perry Benenati, keyboards. As consistently enjoyable and exciting as the band is on stage (they really should be seen live), it is The Tearaways' studio work that best illustrates their greatest strengths. Make sure you save some energy for partying with these guys coz, believe me, you're gonna need it!
