The Beatbrothers

The Beatbrothers, England are Phil (lead guitar and vocals, and no longer 'young' at 17!) Eddy Gillespie (the youngest drummer to ever pay the Cavern 5 years ago, when he was only 10!), along with their Dad Shaun on bass guitar. They often disown the other bands they gig with to form their own mini supergroup, getting together for all things rock 'n' roll and '60s, whether it be Beatles or Mod tunes! They have now for a big reputation developed since their first appearance at Beatle Week in 2001. They returned in 2004 and 2005, as well as the Eggman Festival Easter 2005! They also appeared on Spencer Leigh's Radio Show on BBC Radio Merseyside. Recently the band were the headline act at The Who convention atour very own Cavern Club in March, where they went down as storn with a house full of Parka clad Mods! The band were happy to abandon the Beatle songs for a special setlist put together for the Who fans who made the journey. The lads have further musical talents, both performing at county level on brass. Phil is an excellent classical guitarist and trumpet player, and young Eddy (the Keith Moon of the band) is also a fine euphonium player! A quiet person off-stage, Phil takes on another personality when you strap aguitar on him and put him in front of a microphone! The Beatbrothers are one of the 'must see' bands at this years festival because, if you miss them, you'll never be able to say you saw them before they were famous!
