The Beatalls
The Beatalls are back for their seventh consecutive festival. In 2003 the band were invited to play the Cavern Club in Liverpool prior to Paul McCartney's final Back in the World Tour gig at Kings Dock. What a day that was! Other memorable moments include the launch of the John Lennon Airport gig in Lisbon; every Liverpool Beatle Week (of course!); meeting and chatting to John's sister Julia, George's sister Louise, Pete Best, Ken Brown, Astrid & Klaus, Allan Williams… the list goes on. I will leave you now with a few words from the Beaalls themselves: "What goes on? Chavasse Park has gone and Liverpool os replacing its established skyline with a new one as convincingly as "below us only sea" replaces "above us only sky" - well they've gone and moved the Yellow Submarine to John Lennon Airport you know!!
At least they're gonna restore some of the park after the underground parking lot has been completed, so maybe the famous sub will get back to its home once the vast sea of holes has been filled in. This means the places we remeber have changed, but it's important to look forward and embrace the new. We are certainly looking forward to this year's Beatle Week and we are also introducing a bit of a change. Our friend Rick of Think Floyd id joiing us to add all the appropriate piano and organ touches to a selection of our fave Beatle tunes. So spread the word amongst your buddies and make sure we come together in the all the places you remmeber. You'll be so glad you came here!"
