Marcus Cahill has been a Beatles fan since the age of five, and in 2003 he began performing professionally as a John Lennon tribute. He took part in the 40th Anniversary of the Beatles arrival in his home country at the inaugural Australian Beatles Festival last year, and this year has become a truly globetrotting Lennon travelling thousands of miles to perform at the Abbey Road on the River festival in Kentucky, USA and now in England at Beatle Week. His next adventure will see him travelling to Argentina to take part in Latin American Beatle Week in November.
While on his North American trip, Marcus spent some time touring Prince Edward Island in Canada with fellow Beatle Week performer Hal Bruce. Marcus played with Hal at his Hal and Friends show at AROTR, and the two are looking to reprise the show here in Liverpool.
Marcus had the pleasure to meet both Pete Best and Julia Baird at the Australian Beatles festival. During their meeting Julia said, "I heard Marcus singing what I can only describe as John songs; songs that John wrote, sang and loved. He sounds uncannily like John."
A serious Beatlefan, Marcus is thrilled to be performing at Beatle Week in Liverpool.
