Banned Off The Run?

Banned on the Run have decided to call it a day. Our favourite McCartney tribute band were facing difficulties after Marcus, their guitarist, comedian and all-round lovely bloke, moved to London in January. Bob, Simon, and the other guys in the band felt that it was time to move on and hang up their 'Wings' (sorry!).

Marcus told us that Bob would however be performing a solo Macca spot at Convention this year, and thanked all their fans for their support… "Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years and we hope we have left you with some good memories and that we'll all get together in Liverpool as usual for a few bevvies and a knees up this year. Incidentally, Bob will be appearing on his own this year on acoustic and will probably continue as a one-man show from now on."

It will be a shame to see them go. Convention won't be the same without 'Medicine Jar', 'Jet' and 'Band on the Run'. The best Paul band in the world…the end of an era!
