‘Fab Four’ tribute band coming to Stadium Theatre

WOONSOCKET -- The rekindling of the Beatles popularity, crossing all age barriers, has prompted the Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre to book the self-titled No. 1 Beatles Show in the World -- "1964: The Tribute" -- on Jan. 17 at 8 p.m.

Take a musical journey to an era in rock history that will live in your hearts forever.The energetic tribute show includes classic songs such as "A Hard Day's Night," "Can’t Buy Me Love," "Twist and Shout" and "Yellow Submarine."

The band not only replicates the sound, but their looks and even their gestures are convincing. Get ready to experience hip shaking, loud screaming, hand clapping and uncontrollable dancing -- a direct effect of the sights and sounds of the Beatles.

Critics and fans hail "1964" as the most authentic and endearing Beatles tribute in the world. They have been featured on such nationally televised programs as Entertainment Tonight, PM Magazine, CNN, The USA Network, The Nashville Network and National Public Radio."1964" has toured throughout the world performing at major concert venues as well as fairs, festivals, colleges, corporate events and conventions.

Highlights include the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, England. They also were voted "Best Major Concert Act" and "Best Contemporary Act" by the readers of Campus Activities Today Magazine.

The Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Center, renowned for its acoustics, intimacy and artwork, has been a showcase for the performing arts since 1926. It just completed a 75th anniversary celebration and major historic restoration.
